Automotive Dive to deliver news, analysis into $109B industry tackling EV adoption, supply chain issues

Automotive Dive

The growth of electric vehicles, supply chain constraints and new environmental regulations are a few of the headwinds facing the automotive industry right now. Industry Dive’s latest business journalism publication, Automotive Dive, will keep car manufacturing executives and decision-makers, as well as their suppliers, in the know on these evolving market conditions and trends as they come. The first daily email newsletter will be delivered on June 12.

Top automakers are leaning into new EV models and building out software-connected car features, investing heavily into additional infrastructure, R&D and for some, sourcing their own materials to alleviate supply chain issues. As of January 2023, car and truck capital expenditures topped $33.4 billion. Automotive Dive will examine these developments and other news that may impact the bottom line for car manufacturers, auto and EV part makers and other automotive insiders.

"These dynamics provide vast opportunity for Industry Dive to do what its model is built on, provide sharp, daily insights into the continual changes in the industry, while digging into the larger trends that can shape how auto executives make decisions in the years to come," said Thai Phi Le, senior managing editor of new launches.

Automotive Dive will cover a wide range of topics, including:

  • The latest advancements in automotive technologies, particularly in regards to electrification, software-connected cars and autonomous vehicles
  • Climate regulatory and policy developments impacting the industry, both domestically and internationally
  • Social and economic headwinds changing market dynamics, from semiconductor and raw material shortages to shrinking sales volumes with near record vehicle price tags
  • Labor upheaval, including union dynamics and the rise of automation in manufacturing

Automotive Dive is the fifth newsletter Industry Dive launched in 2023, preceded by Fashion Dive, Hotel Dive, Packaging Dive, and Facilities Dive earlier this month. It’s part of an ambitious, accelerated publication strategy that will bring award-winning journalism to new markets and audiences.
