Construction Dive spotlights 59 of the industry’s top female leaders

As 2021s Women in Construction Week March 7-13 grew closer, the Construction Dive team asked readers to help identify the industrys top female leaders. We were thrilled to get nearly 800 nominations across categories of rising stars, up-and-coming leaders, tradeswomen, mentors and veterans.

We asked nominators to tell us why the women they were recommending deserved this recognition. We read stories of women who broke ground in the board room, classroom and on the jobsite.

As we reviewed the entries, we quickly saw a common thread: That women construction leaders worked to bring other women into the industry and mentor them for the long term.

Based on reader input, on Monday, we launched the Construction Champions series, which highlights 59 exceptional women who serve as mentors, teachers and advocates to help elevate the industry and make it an attractive career option for other women.
